About us

Tanya Thomas, LPC, PMH-C

Licensed Professional Counselor

I am a mom myself – I have four. We stay busy between school, sports, and music! I love nurturing the wonderful human beings that my children are and, at times, am challenged by their being someone/something other than myself! Personally, I love being creative. I enjoy quilting, Taekwondo, drawing and spending time with my family. I find motherhood to be both the peaceful journey down a river and an epic adventure filled with unforeseen events.

I enjoy being a therapist and helping moms (and dads!) navigate the changes that parenthood creates.

I earned my master's degree from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA and am certified in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International. I am additionally trained in EMDR for use with those who have experienced trauma.

I have a passion for working with teens, emerging adults, and adults on their journey in between joys and accomplishments, loss, and trauma. I am here to be with you, to encourage and empower you, as you will discover purpose, direction, and wellbeing. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief counseling, improving overall functioning, supporting families in restoring relationships, and creating space for individual’s flourishing.
